SUMMER is here, and I am so pumped for all of you guys and what God is doing in your lives!  Life is a JOURNEY not a 50-yard dash. On this journey, it’s important that we learn how to FOLLOW God’s Word and develop an INTIMATE relationship with the Holy Spirit.  Guys, there’s only one way to do that.  Just like any other friendship, you get close to someone by spending time with them. 1 Peter 1:18 (MSG) says, “Your life is a journey you must travel with a deep consciousness of God.”  Let’s set aside time every day to focus on our relationship with Christ and keep a right heart before God. Pray!  If you’re sick of living a yo-yo life of Christianity then choose today to get your life on THE Rock.

So what is the secret of prayer?   It’s simple, guys there IS no secret.  Just do it!  A sinning man will stop praying, while a praying man will stop sinning.  One hour alone with God is worth a lifetime with man.  Our strength to stand in public only comes from times of private prayer.  Don’t listen to the spirit of this world that distracts, confuses, and makes us ineffective in our walk with God.  If prayer is a struggle for you, welcome to the club!  Do you understand what is happening when you pray!  Andrew Murray puts it this way, “A true revival means nothing less than a revolution, casting out the spirit of worldliness, making God's love triumph in the heart.”  When we pray, we are piercing darkness, uprooting wrong priorities, destroying strongholds and establishing Jesus as Lord in every situation you effect, through prayer! There is nothing more exhilarating in this life than prayer that plunders hell and populates heaven! Come on Guys!!! Let’s do this!  Commit NOW!  Don’t wait. Repentance means you don’t have to be bound to where you’ve been.  Get up and MOVE on your journey daily.  I am SO SICK of a watered down version of what Jesus Christ has given us! There is no short cut for a journey full of life, joy, fire and a deeper walk with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  No more 50-yard dashes.  Let’s take the journey and walk in the true fire of the HOLY SPIRIT!
